2010 Global Games Gala

Your Invitation To the Gala

Members and friends are invited to support CISV by attending the 2010 Global Games Gala on February 6th. The evening will be filled with Fun and Games of Global Proportion in advance of the 2010 Olympic Games!

This will be our main fundraising event for the year and we encourage all our members to take part and to invite your friends as your guests.

When: Saturday, February 6th
Time: 7 - 10 pm (events begin at 7:30 pm sharp)
Where: Ambrosia Conference and Event Center, 638 Fisgard Street
Cost: $50/ person (online ticket sales add $1.50/ person)

What is Included?

This highly anticipated event includes:

  • Drinks (one complimentary) and Hors D'oeuvres
  • Live Music
  • Video première showcasing CISV, produced by our youth leaders
  • Participate or cheer for your team in our Global Games!
  • Silent Auction

How Will the Proceeds be Used?

Funds raised support the international camps we host every three out of four years. Camps cost our chapter approximately $20,000 each.

The 2011-12 calendar (below) was recently updated. Please note revisions to some mini-camp dates -- and that there'll be a 14+ mini-camp!

Leaders wanted
Are you 21+? Interested in working for a more just and peaceful world? Eager to travel, and to support a small group of enthusiastic youth as they participate in a fun, educational, multicultural experience? Then please submit a leadership application!  (Applications are in the Resources section at the left.) The formal application deadline has passed but CISV Victoria will still consider applications from suitable candidates. Please note: Applications must be submitted ASAP as leaders will be selected soon.

Volunteer in the Rainbow Kitchen
Come help less fortunate members of our community! Junior Branch members (and parents too!) are invited to join CISV Victoria volunteer work crews for one or more Saturday mornings through February, to help prepare food at the Rainbow Kitchen. Pre-registration and parental permission is required: please see the recent email to members for more details. And thanks to JB members Emma F., Sarah M., and Bailey R. for coordinating our Rainbow Kitchen volunteers.
